What is Your Relationship with Writing Uncovering for You?

It’s time to check in. How are you feeling about your relationship with writing?

When you sit down to write, do you feel overwhelmed? Confused? Uncertain? Content? Focussed? Determined? How do you feel?

Feelings are fuel. They will be the energy for whatever action that you are taking (or not taking).

Are these feelings supporting you to take action to create the results that you want or stopping you in your tracks?

And, with curious compassion ask yourself do these feelings show up for me in other areas of my life?

So, here’s something important that I’d like to share with you.

If you are avoiding your writing, there is nothing wrong with you. It’s likely that a pattern that you have established may not be supporting you to take action and write.

So what is the pattern that your writing is showing to you?

  • Are you easily overwhelmed and then stop / find it hard to get started?
  • Are you circling between projects or ideas and have trouble deciding on what to do?
  • Are you feeling anxious about writing and wondering about what others will think?

If these are patterns for you in your relationship with writing, imagine the power of understanding yourself better here and in this relationship and what it has to offer you in other areas of your life.

It’s reminding me of one of my clients who realized that she would get stuck because she was perfecting her work. Through our work together she created evidence for herself that her writing was well-received even when it wasn’t perfect (in her mind). And, she also realized that her contribution to family events didn’t have to be perfect either. Through our work together, she was able to release this expectation of herself in many wasy and align her time and energy with what is most important to her – completing her writing and being at the family event, not being seen as perfect. This was a pattern, and with work, patterns can change.

Are you ready to use what’s happening for you with your writing to grow and expand instead of pushing through your writing at the last minute and then looking up wondering what happened, again, and feeling exhausted or guilty or like there’s something wrong with you?

There is nothing wrong with you.

I am looking for those who want to change their relationship with writing and their lives by taking a look at these patterns and taking action to support yourself to change.

If this is you, please email me at support@melissaeanders.com and we will have a quick call to hear more about what’s happening for you and whether the work that I do is a good fit for you and whether it makes sense to take a next step together.

Ps – I am so excited for you! If you are here and reading this, it’s time to write differently! It’s time to let go of the bootcamps, tips and tricks and quick fixes. Use your writing to grow and expand, instead of feeling overwhelmed, scattered and anxious. I am so looking forward to connecting with you!
